
poor-team-big-dream: José Rujano was the only man in the peloton to mark defending Tour de France champion Alberto Contador's aggressive attacks on the grueling climb up Sicily's Mount Etna (stage nine). His second place finish during the race’s first mountain stage was a big win for team Androni and thrilled team director Gianni Savio. Rujano says, "I started cycling seriously after I bought my first bike in Venezuela when I was 12 years old. I got a job picking coffee that allowed me to save up enough money. The bike was called a "Torres" and the price was about 15 US dollars."
