- Inside the 2009 Tour of Colombia Cycling Stage Race.
The Vuelta is likely the most grueling cycling stage race in the world. Only 3 foreign racers have ever claimed an overall victory since the race's inception in 1951. Stages slice across the northernmost spine of the Andes, often climbing and descending over 10,000 feet in one day--from snowcapped peaks to sweltering tropical lowlands. Gregg Bleakney followed team Colombia es Pasion through all 15 stages.
